Originally a 1-sided 7", this was delayed in favor of releasing a normal 2-sided record. This was intended to be the first in a series of singles by the label, but I think it turned out to be the only one. Edition of 100.

The pieces on this record use mainly the sounds of computer data and computer transmissions as source material.

  1. Moon Boots

Computer data files used as audio files.

Rather than sounding like a fax machine or modem as might be expected from the source material, this has an "outer space" esthetic. This was one of my personal favorite Brutum Fulmen pieces so far, and a breakthrough for me in terms of what I was able to achieve through sound manipulation.

  2. Puncture

Computer data files used as audio files.

A short construction of rawer, less manipulated computer data sounds. More like a fax machine but still a rather powerful driving piece if I do say so myself.

  3. Unmanned Probe (Encounters Debris. Thrown Off Course. Contact Lost.)

Computer data files used as audio files. Scrap metal. Aluminum insides of a portable heater. Chain on a metal shelf.

For this b-side I combined my more typical acoustic sound sources with the computer sounds, but kept the spacey goodness flowing. This was recorded a year or so after "Moon Boots", when the label decided to do a two-sider.
